FAQ's
DO I NEED TO SEND MY OPTIC IN WITH MY SLIDE? NO, WE DONT NEED THE OPTIC TO MACHINE YOUR SLIDE, BUT IF YOU ARE HAVING YOUR SLIDE RE-FINISHED BY BATTLEWERX AND WOULD LIKE US TO INSTALL YOUR OPTIC PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHIP IT IN ALONG WITH YOUR SLIDE.
WILL YOU INSTALL MY IRON SIGHTS IF I SEND THEM IN WITH MY SLIDE? YES, IRON SIGHT INSTALLATION IS INCLUDED FOR ALL SLIDES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SLIDES MACHINED WITH A NEW DOVETAIL IN FRONT OF OPTIC NOT BEING RE-FINISHED BY US. JUST CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE OPTION IN THE IRON SIGHT INSTALLATION DROP DOWN MENU.
The Glock 26 would pair well with the SCS, but it only works with MOS. Luckily, Battlewerx came through. Now I have a truly unique SCS-equipped G26 with superb compactness.
A few minor things to note (not negatives - the overall experience was without flaws)
-The service took a while with slide refinishing. It was within their estimate window, but nearly exactly at the 6-week mark.
-The slide with the nitride finishing starts off a bit "sweaty." This can cause some issues with tolerances that will resolve itself on its own eventually.
Now for the good parts:
-The slide that I sent in was in pretty bad condition. Battlewerx sent it back honestly feeling better than new.
-The nitride finish feels much smoother and nicer compared to the chalky stock glock finish.
-Everything fits properly. Screws go in clean.
More notes (for all the Reddit nerds out there who call this stuff out)
-The grooves are staggered like a checkerboard, rather than being aligned. Without going into detail, this is likely the best possible placement for Gen3.
-For the 26, I went with no irons. The other option is irons in front of the slide. Totally not worth it with a 26 (and I am not sure if it would even be possible given the proximity to the extractor).
I would definitely recommend Battlewerx. pgm on 1st Nov 2022
